What is it about?

Across all borders: Dancing! is an innovative, inclusive, trilateral dance theater workshop in which young people with and without disabilities from Germany, France, and the Netherlands create a dance performance addressing future utopias of a just and livable world. Together, they search for creative answers to the question: »How do we want to live?«

Target Groups

• 15 young participants (5 each from Germany, France, and the Netherlands)
• Ages 14 and above
• With and without disabilities
• From diverse social, cultural, and educational backgrounds (special schools, grammar schools, vocational schools, residential groups, etc.)

Planned Activities

• Dance and theater workshops: movement improvisation, choreographic experiments, physical expression
• Participatory methods: open spaces, creative brainstorming, peer feedback, democratic decision-making
• Intercultural exchange: shared leisure activities, interactive language animation
• Digital diaries: video journals by the participants, guided by media artists
• Scenography and costume design with youth participation
• Final public performance for a general and professional audience
• Documentation: video production of the process and performance

• Dance as a non-verbal, inclusive means of expression
• Language animation and multilingual support (DE/​FR/​NL)
• Educational professionals ensure equal participation for all
• Spaces for self-reflection, self-development, and co-determination
