Conference »Stronger together – Strengthening inclusion and participation in the Weimar Local Action Plan«
How can we make local projects in Weimar more accessible? How can we enable participation for different target groups?

Under the motto »Stronger together – strengthening inclusion and participation in the Weimar Local Action Plan«, we want to think about and discuss these topics together.
The keynote speech will be given by Paula Mund. Paula Mund studied educational science and history at the University of Erfurt and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University of Erfurt. She holds a scholarship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation and is researching schools for the deaf in the GDR. Due to her own disability, she has extensive experience with inclusion and accessibility – as a pupil, student, employee and now as a doctoral candidate. In addition to her personal experiences, she also deals with these topics academically. In summer 2021, she and others founded the working group »AG Barrierefreiheit an der Uni Erfurt«. The working group draws attention to barriers, develops concepts and handouts, for example on low-barrier communication formats such as written interpreting and written conversations.
In the subsequent World Café, there will be an opportunity for exchange and discussion with representatives of some target groups. The aim is to develop joint recommendations for action based on the ideas and experiences gathered during the conference.
